Ensobre
Who we are
Ensobre is developed and sold by Jaime Alvarado Sánchez ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") cover your use of the Ensobre desktop application ("Ensobre", "the app") and any license you buy for it through ensobre.com. By downloading, installing, or using Ensobre, or by buying a license, you agree to these Terms.
How orders are processed
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Paddle.com Market Ltd handles payment, billing, taxes, and invoices for your purchase. Your card or payment details go directly to Paddle — we never see or store them.
License grant
When you buy a license, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Ensobre version 1.x, for as long as you like, for you and the people who live in your household, on all of your household's computers. Sharing your license key outside your household (for example, publishing it online) is not allowed, and we may deactivate keys that are shared publicly in a future version of the app.
You may not resell, sublicense, rent, or share your license key with anyone else, or use it to activate Ensobre on someone else's behalf.
Free trial
Ensobre comes with a 30-day free trial with every feature unlocked — no account, no payment, no credit card required. The trial starts the first time you open the app.
After the trial ends
If you haven't bought a license by the time the trial ends, Ensobre switches to read-only mode: you can still open the app, view your budget, and export your data, but you can't add or edit anything until you buy a license. Your data is never locked away or held hostage — it's a plain file on your own computer, and it stays that way.
Updates
Your license covers every update within version 1.x (for example, 1.0 through 1.9) at no extra cost. If we ever release a new major version (2.x), it may be offered as a separate paid upgrade.
Your data and backups
Ensobre is local-first: your budget lives in a file on your own computer, and we never hold a copy of it. That means keeping backups is your responsibility — copy the file somewhere safe, use your operating system's backup tools, or sync it through a service like Dropbox or iCloud Drive if you'd like. Because we never have a copy of your data, we can't help recover a file that's lost, corrupted, or deleted.
Acceptable use
- Don't try to break, bypass, or reverse-engineer license verification to use Ensobre without a valid license once the trial ends.
- Don't redistribute, resell, or publish the installer or your license key.
- Don't use Ensobre for anything illegal.
No warranty
Ensobre is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't promise the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for every use.
Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, we won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Ensobre, including lost data or lost profits, even if we were told such damages were possible. Our total liability for any claim related to Ensobre won't exceed the amount you paid for your license.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the seller's place of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make a material change, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Ensobre after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
