Who we are
Ensobre is developed and sold by Jaime Alvarado Sánchez ("we", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through ensobre.com and the Ensobre app, and what we do with it.
What the app doesn't collect
Ensobre has no telemetry, no analytics, and no crash reporting. It doesn't require an account or a login, and it never sends your budget data anywhere. Everything — accounts, transactions, categories, envelopes — lives in a single file on your own computer, and it only ever leaves that computer if you choose to export it, back it up, or sync it yourself.
When the app connects to the internet
Ensobre goes online for only two things:
- Updating exchange rates: when you press the update-rates button, the app requests current rates from open.er-api.com or the European Central Bank's public rates file, sending only the currency code you're asking about. No budget data is included in that request.
- Checking for app updates: when it opens, the app checks GitHub's public releases to see if a newer version of Ensobre is available. This is a standard, anonymous request, the same as visiting a public webpage, and no budget data is sent. Updates are installed only if you accept them. You can turn this check off in Settings → About.
Purchases
Buying a license is handled entirely by Paddle, our reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle collects your payment details, billing address, and email directly — we never see or store your card information. Paddle's own privacy policy explains what they collect and how they use it.
After a purchase, Paddle passes us your name, email address, and order ID so we can email you your license key through Resend, our email delivery provider. We keep this information only to fulfill your order and to help you if you contact us for support.
Waitlist and newsletter
If you join our waitlist or newsletter on this site, the form is handled by Formspree. We only ask for your email address, which we use to let you know about Ensobre's launch and occasional updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Website hosting
This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which keeps standard server logs (like IP address and the page requested) for security and reliability. If we ever add analytics to this site, it would be Cloudflare's cookie-less Web Analytics — we don't use advertising cookies or trackers here.
Data retention and deletion
We keep purchase-related information (name, email, order ID) for as long as needed to provide support and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. To ask us to delete your information, write to soporte@ensobre.com and we'll remove anything we're not legally required to keep.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or limit how we use it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at soporte@ensobre.com; for anything related to a purchase, you can also reach out to Paddle directly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
